Business Analyst

Overview

Renaissance InfoSystems is currently recruiting for two Business Analyst roles based in Sydney. These positions include a contract opportunity with a 6-month duration potentially extendable up to a year, and a full-time permanent role with focus areas in ServiceNow and Data Security/Data Governance technologies respectively.

Role 1: ServiceNow Business Analyst

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define processes and requirements, transforming them into clear functional specifications and user stories for the development team.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation compliant with organizational standards, governance, and ServiceNow best practices.
• Possess hands-on experience or deep knowledge of the ServiceNow platform with expertise in Service Portal and Workspace.
• Understand workflows, data models, system integrations, and APIs pertinent to ServiceNow.
• Work independently and in collaboration to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
• Facilitate communication between business users and technical teams on ServiceNow implementations.
• Experience working with global, cross-functional teams and coordinating offshore deliveries for end-to-end project completion.

Requirements for Role 1 include over 5 years of Australian experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst or Business Process Consultant, with domain knowledge in Government, Energy and Utilities, or Water companies. Experience with ServiceNow Platform, ITSM, CSM, and PSDS modules is essential along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Role 2: Business Analyst in Data Security/Data Governance Tools

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
• Prepare and maintain key project documents such as requirement specifications, use cases, and process flow diagrams.
• Facilitate workshops and sessions for requirement elicitation and stakeholder alignment.
• Conduct gap analysis to identify and drive process enhancements.
• Work closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure project success.
• Support test planning and participate in user acceptance testing.
• Provide support and training to end-users as necessary.
• Keep abreast of industry standards and best practices in business analysis.

Mandatory skills for Role 2 include experience using tools such as Microsoft Purview, Varonis, BigID, IBM Guardium, Netwrix, and Proofpoint. The candidate should have 5-7 years practical experience in business analysis with strong communication, analytical, and project management capabilities. Preferably knowledgeable in Agile methodologies and familiar with data analysis tools as well as industry compliance regulations.

Qualifications & Additional Information

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are advantageous.
• The ServiceNow BA role is a 6 months contract based in Sydney with possible extension; the Data Security BA position is a full-time permanent role.
