Overview
Macy's, a renowned American retailer with a rich history spanning over 160 years, is seeking a Business Analyst Specialist to join their Marketing Technology Solutions team located in Johns Creek, GA. This team is dedicated to designing and deploying end-to-end solutions supporting CRM technology programs, focusing on retention marketing to enhance customer engagement across digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect marketing technology solutions that align business needs with technology capabilities, ensuring usability, accessibility, and strong performance.
- Engage in architectural and design discussions alongside product and engineering teams to ensure successful solution deployments that achieve tactical objectives.
- Document requirements, develop use cases, and manage implementation coordination between various teams.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional groups and external partners.
- Analyze the upstream and downstream effects of solutions, working with internal teams to improve business processes supporting new features.
- Evaluate business processes to identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Monitor marketing program metrics, offering insights and recommendations for ongoing improvements.
- Forge strong partnerships with internal teams such as Loyalty, CRM, Digital, Analytics, and Retail Operations, alongside vendor partners including Adobe, Oracle, and SAS.
- Drive product roadmaps and prioritization efforts in collaboration with vendor partners.
- Lead the definition, prioritization, and delivery oversight of strategic marketing capabilities required by business units.
- Conduct vendor research including requests for proposals (RFPs) and proof of concepts (POCs) to stay aligned with competitive marketing trends.
- Promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in delivering complex technical solution architecture across multifaceted provider networks.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in product or technical program management, systems/business analysis, or related technology roles.
- Proven leadership skills enabling navigation and influence within complex organizational structures and large, cross-functional teams.
- Practical experience with outbound marketing channels such as Email, SMS, and Push notifications with emphasis on customer personalization and monetization.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities with keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities in dynamic settings and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in developer platforms, RESTful APIs, Web Services, and SQL scripting for validating data.
- Experienced in documenting data and process specifications, user stories, and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling strong stakeholder relationships and collaboration.
- Background in digital marketing or retail sectors is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages for data manipulation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience using ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Apache NiFi in conjunction with data warehousing platforms like Oracle, Hadoop, Snowflake, or DB2.
- Expertise in CRM and marketing platforms including Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Experience Manager, and Adobe product suites.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, and Tableau, alongside knowledge of customer segmentation methodologies.
- Experience connecting systems through RESTful APIs, including platforms like MuleSoft and Postman.
- Exposure to cloud and big data services such as AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue), Google BigQuery, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Capability to perform root cause analysis, resolve data quality issues, and optimize customer journey flows ensuring data integrity.
- Understanding of marketing campaign execution, audience segmentation, A/B testing, and cross-channel analytics techniques.
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance measures, and secure handling of personally identifiable information (PII) in line with GDPR and CCPA.
- Strong skills in stakeholder management involving marketing, IT, developers, vendors, and product teams.
- Proficient in translating complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations through data storytelling and visualization.
- Experienced in Agile project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and maintaining documentation like data dictionaries.
- Innovative problem-solving mindset focused on automation and scaling opportunities.
- Adaptability and self-motivation with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities amid fast-paced changes.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time onsite position offering an annual salary ranging from $81,120 to $135,120, determined by job specifics, geographic location, and schedule.
