Role Overview

The company is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst skilled in data analytics to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role focuses on converting business needs into actionable data-driven solutions that support decision-making, boost operational efficiency, and promote strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to comprehend strategic goals, operational challenges, and informational needs.
• Gather and document business requirements related to data, reporting, analytics, and metrics.
• Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to uncover business opportunities.
• Serve as the primary communication link between business users and technical development throughout project cycles.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for data engineering and BI teams.
• Standardize organizational metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks aligned with corporate objectives.
• Assist in designing, testing, and validating dashboards, reports, and analytical models.
• Conduct data validation and exploration to ensure analytics meet business expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize analytics projects based on impact and business value.
• Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to multi-level stakeholders.
• Align data initiatives with business priorities to ensure effective solution implementation and adoption.
• Facilitate change management by promoting data literacy and encouraging data-driven cultures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, business analysis, or related domains.
• Proven track record in eliciting, documenting, and managing business requirements for data-centric projects.
• Strong skills in translating complex business questions into technical specifications.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, validation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Exceptional analytical thinking, problem solving, and critical reasoning abilities.
• Excellent communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or other collaborative project management frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with public sector clients, government data, or transparency initiatives.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and cloud analytics platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Skilled in producing BRDs, user stories, process documentation, and functional specs.
• Understanding of data governance, quality management, and master data concepts.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise reporting environments.
