Job description
Job Overview
We seek a Business Analyst passionate about examining and improving business workflows. This role involves supporting internal IT applications as part of the IT Applications team.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or Computer Science is required.
- At least two years of experience in a Business Analyst role focusing on delivering and maintaining IT applications.
- Proven ability to collect requirements, conduct gap analyses, and prepare comprehensive documentation.
- A clear understanding of business needs with enthusiasm for business process evaluation and redesign.
- Basic proficiency in SQL, including creating and interpreting queries.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills enabling effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to devise creative solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Background in hospitality or leisure-related application domains.
- Certification as a Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users and product owners to gather requirements across multiple systems and platforms.
- Ensure a shared understanding between developers and business users by accurately translating business needs.
- Convert business requirements into detailed functional and technical documents.
- Develop and execute test plans and manage User Acceptance Testing activities.
- Monitor project status, issues, and risks, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Support and manage multiple application systems simultaneously.
- Comply with organizational and project standards and guidelines.
