Business Analyst - Capital Markets

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with demonstrated expertise in the Capital Markets domain to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The candidate will serve as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, effectively collecting and analyzing requirements, preparing functional documentation, and ensuring the successful delivery of business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements focused on capital markets activities such as trading, settlement, risk management, and compliance.
• Perform gap analysis and feasibility assessments to support strategic projects and initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive requirement documents, functional specifications, and use cases.
• Collaborate with development teams to guarantee that solutions meet business objectives and regulatory mandates.
• Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to build consensus and clarify expectations.
• Facilitate grooming sessions with technology teams to author user stories and offer clarifications on requirements.
• Present Sprint demos to business units, obtaining approvals before production deployment.
• Support test data preparation, review test scenarios, plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage defect tracking.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of six years as a Business Analyst within the BFSI sector, specializing in Capital Markets.
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, derivatives, and fixed income, along with understanding of trading lifecycles and market infrastructure.
• Proficiency in tools including JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to the domain.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum development environments.
