Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Builder to oversee building and construction activities at our Lagos location. This full-time role involves supervising construction operations, coordinating with contractors and artisans, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and design specifications, and managing project progress and materials efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily construction tasks across assigned sites.
• Coordinate effectively with contractors, artisans, and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project workflows.
• Ensure workmanship complies with approved quality benchmarks.
• Verify that all construction aligns with approved drawings and specifications.
• Control material consumption to minimize wastage on site.
• Monitor construction progress and promptly report any delays or obstacles.
• Elevate technical issues or site problems to the Construction Manager or Project Manager as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Inspect and approve completed work prior to official reviews and sign-off.
• Assist with maintaining daily and weekly reporting and documentation related to project status.

Performance Indicators

• Maintain 100% compliance with workmanship quality standards.
• Keep material wastage under 5%.
• Achieve 100% daily supervision attendance.
• Attain project progress targets of at least 95% completion.
• Limit rework occurrences to below 2%.
• Ensure contractor and artisan productivity of 90% or higher.
• Maintain 100% safety compliance on site.
• Ensure 100% compliance with reporting requirements.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Building Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in construction work.
• Preferred registration as a builder with CORBON.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality standards.
• Proven experience leading artisans, subcontractors, and site activities.
• Strong leadership qualities complemented by effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Commitment to quality assurance, safety, and on-time project delivery.

Salary and Application Details
