Job Overview
We are seeking qualified Examiners for the AAQ BTEC Nationals (Level 3) qualifications. This is a contract-based position that allows you to work remotely from home, offering flexibility to manage your marking responsibilities alongside any full-time commitments.
Role Purpose
The Examiner is responsible for assessing candidates' exam responses in alignment with a prescribed marking scheme and adhering to the Code of Practice and examination protocols. Most marking will be conducted onscreen through the ePEN system, facilitating work from home. Examiners must possess comprehensive subject knowledge to apply marking criteria accurately. You will be assigned a specific number of scripts to evaluate.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in marking to uphold standard quality.
- Submit samples of marked scripts to the Team Leader within specified deadlines.
- Meet all marking milestones to ensure timely completion.
- Complete all administrative tasks as instructed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must have either one or more years of recent experience in delivering BTEC qualifications at this level or hold a teaching qualification with experience teaching GCE, iAL, or Applied GCE in the relevant subject area.
- Teaching or BTEC delivery experience must be within the prior eight years.
