Job description
Role Overview
EF Educational Tours is hiring a bilingual Travel Sales Consultant who can work in both French and English and help grow educational travel programs across Canada. This is an entry-level, full-time position based in Montreal, Quebec, with a hybrid schedule of four days in the office and one work-from-home day, typically Fridays. The standard workweek runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The intended start window is December 2025 or January 2026.
In this role, you will actively create new sales opportunities by reaching out to teachers and educators, building relationships, and guiding them through the full journey of planning and delivering travel experiences for their students. The work is focused on outbound prospecting, relationship building, and helping educational travel become a meaningful part of teachers’ programs.
About the Company
EF Educational Tours supports teachers in creating memorable, educational travel experiences for students. Its programs are built around hands-on learning that encourages curiosity, confidence, and deeper connection. The organization’s purpose is to help people explore new places, experience different cultures, and gain a broader understanding of the world and themselves.
For more than 40 years in Canada, the team has been helping educators and students experience the impact of travel. The broader organization operates in 115 countries and is focused on international education, cultural exchange, academic learning, and travel experiences that promote understanding between people and cultures.
What You Will Do
- Grow your assigned territory by spotting opportunities, developing leads, and converting them into business.
- Build long-term partnerships with teachers and school staff, supporting them from initial recruitment through safe completion of the travel experience.
- Expand the sales pipeline through proactive outreach such as cold calling, networking, targeted email campaigns, and exploration of new markets.
- Track progress and deliver on monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Communicate with customers through phone, email, video meetings, and in-person conversations.
- Work closely with internal teams so trips are well coordinated and deliver a strong customer experience.
- Promote educational travel as a meaningful product that helps students broaden their perspectives and confidence.
Who You Are
You are interested in starting a career in sales and want a position with real ownership and accountability. You are comfortable taking initiative, building your own path, and creating opportunities instead of waiting for them.
You connect easily with people and can build rapport quickly, even with someone you have just met. You are driven by goals, motivated by challenge, and willing to push beyond targets. You are also resourceful, competitive in a team-oriented way, and willing to try creative approaches to reach the right people.
You communicate persuasively, enjoy networking, and like speaking with people about something you care about. Prior sales or prospecting experience is helpful but not required, since training is provided.
