Role Overview
The Benefits Consultant will lead health insurance sales efforts across Kota’s Platform (direct employers) and Embed (partner-integrated) channels. As health insurance forms a key pillar of our benefits offering, this role focuses on how we market, sell, and expand these solutions in multiple markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales of tailor-made health insurance through partnerships with corporate clients across the EEA, UK, and selected international markets.
- Design and lead initiatives to increase customer adoption and policy sales, aiming to meet ambitious revenue targets.
- Serve as the health insurance specialist in discussions with prospects and clients, aligning sales and benefits teams to position Kota as the preferred employee benefits platform.
- Collaborate with the Expansion team to research and onboard health insurance providers for new markets, ensuring compliance and relevance to local requirements.
- Customize health insurance products to satisfy market and regulatory demands, maintaining competitive and commercially viable offerings.
- Develop and implement revenue strategies aligned with company growth goals.
- Manage relationships with embed partners, insurers, and intermediaries to coordinate pricing, scheme design, and commissions.
- Work in close collaboration with Customer Success, Benefits Consultants, Embed, Expansions, and Compliance teams to provide a seamless client experience.
- Deliver regulated health insurance advice compliant with Central Bank of Ireland standards, utilizing APA qualifications.
- Support governance and auditing processes related to health insurance sales activities.
Candidate Profile
- APA accreditation in General Insurance or Insurance Product Advice is essential.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in health insurance sales, employee benefits consulting, or related commercial roles within brokers, insurers, or insurtech companies.
- Established record of achieving sales objectives and driving growth in insurance or benefits sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of health insurance markets in Ireland, the UK, or EEA.
- Experience managing complex multi-stakeholder sales involving insurer negotiations and pricing analysis.
- Strong communication and relationship management capabilities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Preferred: Expertise with embedded insurance models, international health markets (e.g., UAE, India, Singapore, continental Europe), intermediary networks, and contribution to product/process improvements in fast-paced tech environments.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally across several departments.
