Position Overview
The Bell Desk Attendant is the first person guests meet on arrival and the last person they see when they leave. The role supports smooth guest movement by coordinating luggage, packages and vehicle handling, while also helping with directions and transportation arrangements throughout the day.
Key Duties
- Check arrival and departure details, then organize luggage handling, transport and any other guest-requested support.
- Move guest bags to and from rooms as directed by the Bell Desk Supervisor or Team Leader.
- Store luggage in accordance with property procedures and standards.
- Welcome guests at the entrance, guide them to check-in and offer assistance with any bags they are carrying.
- Accompany guests to their rooms and explain the available room features and in-house facilities.
- Arrange taxis, respond to guest questions and provide practical assistance as needed.
- Help maintain access control by discouraging entry from unauthorized persons and keeping the entrance area presentable.
- Support traffic flow and vehicle parking at the main entrance.
Candidate Profile
- A current full driver’s licence is required.
- Previous experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel, resort or commercial environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic computer tasks, along with hands-on exposure to room maintenance, is expected.
- Strong spoken English is important for guest interaction.
- Applicants must have valid working rights in Australia.
