Role Overview

The Behavioral Health Department Manager will lead a behavioral health team while maintaining an active caseload of patients. Responsible for the oversight of daily clinical operations across Pennsylvania clinic sites, this role includes supervising therapists to uphold quality standards and encouraging continuous staff development through training and education. The manager will help clinicians meet productivity targets, coordinate PTO, resolve patient and family inquiries, work with HR on staff growth, and partner with leadership to cultivate strong teams and referral relationships with pediatric practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage clinical operations, ensuring consistent quality and monitoring performance and patient outcomes across locations.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to therapists to build efficient, high-quality caseloads and support their professional development.
• Conduct training for new therapists on clinical models, evidence-based methodologies, and documentation protocols.
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, dedicating 20 weekly clinical direct care hours including biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing counseling.
• Establish and nurture therapeutic relationships by understanding patient experiences, educating families on treatment approaches, and promoting continued engagement.
• Track patient progress against goals; update treatment plans as needed and address concerns via direct contact and clinician coaching.
• Collaborate with specialty providers such as psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to create integrated, whole-child treatment plans involving families and other specialists as appropriate.
• Maintain thorough documentation ensuring the highest clinical and technical quality.
• Develop strategic partnerships with pediatric practices to foster referral networks and community engagement.
• Support recruitment and retention to strengthen and grow clinical teams within a positive work environment.

Basic Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania license as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD.
• At least 3 years of licensed therapist experience.
• Preferably capable of supervising pre-licensed therapists.

Compensation

Annual salary range is between USD 95,000 and USD 110,000.
