Overview

Join the dedicated team at Titoki Farm, a highly productive beef finishing operation near Whangārei, Northland, New Zealand. This opportunity offers a hands-on role where you'll develop your skills in beef finishing and general farm management under the guidance of a supportive Farm Manager.

Role Responsibilities

As a Beef Finishing Specialist, you will be engaged in daily operations including stock management, animal health monitoring, developing grazing strategies, pasture upkeep, tracking livestock weights, and maintaining farm infrastructure. You will also gain experience using advanced farming software such as TruTest and FarmIQ for precise farm data management. Embracing technology is encouraged, and support will be provided to get you proficient.

About Titoki Farm

Titoki Farm spans approximately 553 effective hectares and specializes in finishing around 2,000 bulls each winter, utilizing modern techno-grazing techniques. Situated just 25 minutes from Whangārei, this role blends rural farming life with convenient access to nearby urban amenities including shopping, healthcare, recreation, and community facilities.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors with animals and are motivated by learning through direct, hands-on experience. Previous beef finishing or farming experience is beneficial but not essential. Key attributes include a genuine interest in animal welfare, teamwork, practical health and safety awareness, and meticulous attention to recording farm information. Owning or willingness to work with one to two working dogs and enthusiasm for beef finishing and modern grazing methods are also desirable.
