The Hoxton in Berlin is seeking a part-time Bartender or working student to join its Food & Beverage team. This role is crucial in crafting memorable guest experiences. The hotel features 234 rooms, all-day dining in a wintergarden, a lively lobby and bar, a terrace, and a unique meetings and events space called The Apartment. As a Bartender, you will be the welcoming face of the bar, expertly preparing drinks, offering local insights, and fostering genuine connections with guests to enhance their stay.

Job Description
The Bartender will be responsible for creating a fun, relaxed, and inviting atmosphere. Key duties include preparing and serving a variety of beverages, from coffee and soft drinks to cocktails, with consistent quality and attention to detail. Building rapport with guests through recommendations and knowledge sharing is essential. The role requires a thorough understanding of the drinks menu, products, and systems, along with a proactive approach to learning about new trends. Maintaining high standards of presentation, service, cleanliness, and organization at the bar is paramount. This position involves close collaboration with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth operations across the bar, lobby, and wintergarden. Responsibilities also include stock monitoring, waste reduction, professional handling of guest feedback, and adherence to all food safety and health & safety regulations. The role encourages a team-oriented approach, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, coupled with prior bartending experience in a dynamic setting. A strong desire to learn about products and service is important. Fluency in English is required, with good German language skills being a significant asset; additional languages are a plus. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, is necessary. A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences is key. The role requires a confident, people-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment, embracing a 'can-do' attitude and a willingness to try new things.
