About the company
Australian Sustainable Dairies (ASD Group) is focused on building the next generation of dairy in Australia by making high-quality, better-for-you, and sustainable products. The business is Australia’s largest fresh organic dairy company and produces award-winning yoghurt, milk, and cheese under its leading brands, Barambah Organics and five:am Organic. The team is known for working hard, enjoying the work, and supporting one another while the business continues to grow quickly.
What you will do
- Help develop new product ideas, packaging concepts, and process improvements from the initial idea through to launch.
- Support the creation of dairy products that meet strong quality expectations and build consumer trust.
- Contribute to cost-saving and value-improvement work by refining recipes and production methods without compromising quality, efficiency, or sustainability goals.
- Make sure all new product development activities meet regulatory, brand, and launch requirements.
- Assess product sensory performance, nutrition, and formulations by comparing them with competitor products.
- Handle accurate formulation design, product costing, and artwork coordination.
- Prepare and update manufacturing specifications, ERP data, and quality standards needed for successful product launches.
- Check label compliance and ensure product specifications remain correct across customer portals and related documentation.
About you
You bring a tertiary qualification in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or a similar discipline. You should have at least 3 years of experience in technical, product development, or process-focused roles, ideally within dairy. Experience taking products from concept to launch will be highly regarded. A solid understanding of dairy processing and how functional ingredients behave is important, along with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a practical hands-on approach. You should also be well organized, communicate clearly, work well with different teams, and show curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to keep learning.
