About the Role

Join a welcoming and proactive team dedicated to delivering exceptional employment support to clients in Hammersmith and Fulham. This position focuses on the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model, recognized globally for facilitating employment opportunities for individuals with serious mental health conditions, contributing to their recovery and overall wellbeing. As IPS is a national key priority, the team is expanding with the goal of achieving excellent fidelity to the IPS model. The team fosters a supportive environment and provides comprehensive induction training along with ongoing developmental opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

Employment Specialists manage caseloads of up to 25 clients, assisting them in identifying suitable employment goals, enhancing confidence for job searching, preparing up-to-date CVs, and offering tailored advice, encouragement, and coaching to secure appropriate jobs. The role also encompasses working as part of a clinical team to coordinate client support packages and meticulously documenting all activities. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with employers and other stakeholders is crucial for maximizing client outcomes.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Successful candidates demonstrate assertiveness, adaptability, and a positive conviction in the value of employment for all people. Strong interpersonal and networking abilities are essential. While prior experience in employment support is not necessary, a willingness to acquire new skills and an enthusiastic, supportive approach toward working with individuals facing mental health challenges are required. Candidates must be comfortable with IT systems and maintaining precise client records. The Trust particularly encourages applications from those with lived experience of mental health challenges.
