Role Overview

This Specialist Children Looked After Nurse position is based at the Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health, located at 92 Bath Road, Hounslow TW3 3EL. The service focuses on providing healthcare and safeguarding support to children and young people aged 0-17 under local authority care. This vulnerable group presents with complex safeguarding challenges.

Work Environment and Schedule

The primary duties involve conducting clinics mainly at the Heart of Hounslow Centre for Health with some additional outreach and health promotion activities in the community. Candidates must be available for a minimum of two working days per week depending on service demand. Standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional requirements to work later as necessary for service delivery.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal applicant will be a Registered Nurse with active NMC registration and hold qualifications as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (such as Health Visitor or School Nurse). Experience as a Children Looked After Nurse or as a Specialist Safeguarding Nurse working with children and young people is essential.
