About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Support Time and Recovery (STR) Worker focused on Families to join our Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams. This role involves close collaboration with Birmingham Children’s Trust to offer early intervention and community-based support aimed at enhancing resilience and preventing safeguarding concerns escalation. You will play a vital part in promoting well-coordinated care approaches that place families' voices and strengths at the forefront of recovery and care planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a crucial link between adult mental health services, children's services, and community networks.
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, families, carers, and partner organizations to identify potential risks promptly.
- Support family-focused coordinated interventions alongside Birmingham Children's Trust.
- Deliver practical and emotional support to families within their homes and communities.
- Promote mental health awareness and facilitate early-help pathways in community settings.
- Assist families in understanding care pathways and navigating available support services.
- Enhance relationships with community groups, charities, and culturally diverse networks.
- Contribute efforts to prevent the need for statutory safeguarding involvement whenever feasible.
