Job description
Role Overview
As a Band 3 Health Care Assistant at the Barberry Centre, you will support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based nursing care under the supervision of qualified nurses. Your duties will include assisting patients with varied health and social care requirements within a multidisciplinary environment, working under minimal supervision to promote wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care as directed by qualified nursing staff.
- Maintain familiarity with relevant local and national policies and legislation governing mental health service delivery.
- Contribute to developing and facilitating social and therapeutic activities for service users.
- Promote and maintain effective therapeutic relationships, addressing spiritual, equality, diversity, and rights issues in line with best practice and legal requirements.
- Ensure clear communication channels within the team and act as a positive role model to junior staff, reflecting the organization's values in daily practice.
