Job description

Role Overview

Birmingham Healthy Minds consists of psychological therapists and practitioners delivering services within an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) framework throughout Birmingham. We are currently inviting applications for an adept, motivated, and enthusiastic administrator to join our South Birmingham team.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with delivering a confidential, efficient, and accurate administrative service that supports the clinical team. The environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines independently, though collaboration within a small administrative team is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to facilitate the Birmingham Healthy Minds team’s operations.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, managing incoming calls and distributing messages appropriately.
  • Provide administrative support for outpatient clinics using Trust patient information and internal systems.
  • Undertake general administrative duties to assist broader administrative and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Offer coverage and support for colleagues as needed, potentially working across different locations within Birmingham to meet service demands.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to align with service requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Applicants should demonstrate strong communication and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is essential, along with excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Possession of qualifications in Maths and English is mandatory and should be clearly stated in the application.
  • Experience using IAPTus and RIO systems is desirable but not mandatory.
