Back of House Team Member

About the Role

Join our exciting team at The Wonderfield Group located in Gateshead Metro Centre as a full-time Back of House (BoH) team member. We are known for pioneering a fresh take on Japanese cuisine since 1997, famous for our kaiten conveyor, color-coded dishes, and authentic, flavor-packed sushi and street food. With over 70 restaurants globally and 300 kiosks in the UK, plus products stocked in major supermarkets, we continue growing our vibrant food experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and handle food efficiently while upholding hygiene and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory carefully to monitor stock levels and reduce waste.
• Support workstation setup, maintenance, shift handovers, and closing duties.
• Learn and apply product knowledge to ensure menu quality meets high standards.
• Operate in various kitchen roles including sushi rolling, hot food section work, raw product preparation, and pass handling.
• Accurately document deliveries, wastage, and temperature checks daily.
• Engage actively in team meetings, training sessions, and company communications to stay informed and contribute to team goals.
• Work collaboratively with team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences and support restaurant profitability.

• Competent across all kitchen duties including cleaning, food prep, and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Familiar with working under pressure to meet deadlines within a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment.

Compensation and Schedule

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of £12.21, with an 8-hour contracted shift each day.
