Key Responsibilities
- Support and execute audits of model development and model validation processes across the bank.
- Maintain and refresh the risk-and-control matrix as well as the audit checklists for ongoing reviews.
- Conduct detailed process walkthroughs for audited areas and prepare the data requests needed for each audit.
- Update internal audit MIS with the status of findings, observations, and other follow-up actions for the audit function.
- Help prepare presentations for senior management and the audit committee covering completed audits and internal audit performance.
- Contribute to automation efforts for audit testing to improve Continuous Control Monitoring (CCM).
Qualification and Experience
The preferred background includes a master’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, or another quantitative discipline. Experience in risk modelling or model validation is desirable, along with hands-on use of statistical tools such as R and SAS.
Suitable candidates should also have knowledge of SR 11-7 model governance guidance and experience with building or validating statistical models used for credit underwriting, credit risk measurement and management, market risk, ALM risk, ICAAP, and stress testing. Prior exposure to risk analytics, model risk, or risk advisory work in a bank or consulting environment is valuable.
Skills and Work Style

Candidates should be comfortable handling financial and statistical analysis, managing uncertainty, prioritising tasks, making decisions in a fast-moving environment, and coordinating several projects and deadlines at once. Knowledge of Python and SQL is an added advantage.
