Role Overview

Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) is looking for a seasoned analyst to join its Business and Customer Analytics team. This position focuses on delivering actionable business insights that guide partner decisions and strategies across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic insights through data-driven analysis that supports leadership and partner teams.
  • Engage in strategic discussions and develop business hypotheses to drive growth.
  • Evaluate business impact factors such as promotions, pricing, products, and customer metrics using third-party competitive tools, customer behavior data, and data science models.
  • Lead analytical projects end-to-end while coordinating with various stakeholder groups.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and rectify gaps in analytics and reporting workflows.
  • Influence decision-making by working cross-functionally to enhance analytical processes.
  • Communicate complex data findings effectively through reports and presentations.
  • Mentor junior analysts to foster knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Translate intricate data insights into understandable and actionable information across organizational levels.
  • Respond clearly to queries during leadership meetings.
  • Explore fundamental reasons behind business outcomes by thorough data investigation.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards using visualization tools such as QuickSight and Tableau to facilitate self-service data access.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in roles like business or data analyst.
  • At least 3 years proficiency with Excel or Tableau, including complex data manipulations, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
  • SQL experience.
  • Proven ability to recommend business improvements and persuade stakeholders.
  • Experience in defining analytics requirements and deriving insights from data and metrics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Background in data science, business analytics, business intelligence or working with large datasets.
  • Strong experience building strategic relationships and collaborating across diverse teams.
  • Exposure to financial analysis, retail planning, product/project management, marketing, business development, consulting, negotiation, or supply chain.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques.
  • Excellent analytical acumen, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Salary ranges vary by location:
Texas (Austin): $74,300 - $130,100 annually
Washington (Seattle): $82,700 - $130,100 annually
