Role Overview

Keith Andrews Trucks is seeking a light commercial vehicle technician to join its Palmerston North workshop. The business is the leading Fuso dealership in New Zealand and operates a strong commercial vehicle network across the country.

The Palmerston North workshop is one of the busiest in the network, and the team is looking for a capable light commercial vehicle technician to contribute to a high-performing environment.

Key Duties

  • Identify faults, carry out repairs and complete maintenance work on light commercial vehicles such as vans, utes and small trucks.
  • Handle scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer requirements.
  • Work with the service team and customers on job approvals and progress updates.
  • Keep accurate records of all completed work.
  • Stay current with new vehicle technologies and modern repair techniques.
  • Maintain workshop safety, tidiness and compliance standards.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive work, or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Strong ability in diagnostics, troubleshooting and mechanical repair.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to remain effective under pressure.
  • Class 2 licence preferred; support toward Class 5 may be available.
  • A focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
