Position Summary
The role of Automobile Spare Parts Stock Keeper involves managing the inventory of spare parts critical to the company's vehicle and equipment functions. This full-time position based in Accra requires handling incoming deliveries, verifying and tagging items, organizing inventory storage, and keeping precise stock records through manual or computerized systems. The Stock Keeper regularly performs inventory audits, monitors consumption, prepares parts requisition forms, and collaborates with maintenance and procurement departments to maintain timely availability of parts. Additionally, the role includes ensuring a clean and safe storeroom environment aligned with company standards and taking part in periodic inventory audits.
Requirements
- Proven ability in inventory control, including tracking stock and maintaining accurate documentation, alongside familiarity with warehouse or storage operations.
- Keen attention to accurately identifying, sorting, and labeling automobile spare parts with strong organizational skills.
- Competency in using spreadsheet applications or inventory management software for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities for coordination with maintenance, procurement, and logistics teams.
- Basic math and analytical skills to handle stock levels, reorder points, and stock discrepancies efficiently.
- Experience managing spare parts or working in warehousing environments is advantageous.
- A minimum of secondary education or vocational qualifications in storekeeping, logistics, or related technical fields; certifications in inventory or warehouse management will be beneficial.
- Physical capability to remain standing, move around, and safely lift moderate weights while adhering to health, safety, and quality procedures.
