Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Australian voice actor to contribute to AI and machine learning initiatives, as well as wider media work, by producing polished voice recordings across different scripts, tones, and delivery styles. This role calls for strong vocal control, precise pronunciation, and the ability to sound natural while adhering closely to project instructions.
Responsibilities
- Read and record scripts with crisp pronunciation, a natural speaking style, and the right tone for each assignment.
- Switch between different emotions, character voices, and delivery styles as the project requires.
- Work according to recording standards, pronunciation guidance, and script-specific directions.
- Submit clean audio files that are free of background noise and technical defects.
- Check recordings for completeness, accuracy, and consistency before sending them in.
- Keep pace with deadlines and recording output targets.
- Raise any unclear script points, technical problems, or recording difficulties with the project team.
- Maintain a professional approach and consistent quality across all recordings.
Requirements
- Native or near-native command of Australian English.
- Clear vocal delivery with strong articulation and pronunciation.
- Ability to adjust tone, speed, emotion, and speaking style to suit the brief.
- Good reading comprehension and the ability to interpret scripts accurately.
- Dependable internet access and a quiet space suitable for recording.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort using online recording platforms.
- Ability to work on your own and follow detailed instructions carefully.
Nice to Have
- Prior work in voice acting, voice-over, podcasting, broadcasting, or similar audio-based roles.
- Experience with AI datasets, speech recognition, audiobooks, gaming, or media recordings.
- Familiarity with audio recording and editing software.
- Access to professional-grade recording gear, including a good microphone and a sound-treated recording setup.
