About the role
EY is seeking two Audit Seniors to join its audit practice in Lusaka. This position offers the chance to work with a global professional services firm, contributing to high-quality audit work across a varied client portfolio. The role is designed for someone who wants to deepen their audit expertise, handle complex assignments, and keep developing through structured learning and professional growth.
Role summary
As an Audit Senior, you will support clients with reliable financial reporting and audit services across different industries. The work involves participating in both the planning and completion stages of audits, helping with statutory audit delivery, and providing useful observations on accounting and reporting matters. You will also help guide junior team members and review their work as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Take part in the preliminary and final stages of audit engagements.
- Contribute to the delivery and execution of statutory audits.
- Coordinate, monitor, and review tasks completed by junior staff members.
- Support clients in meeting financial reporting obligations.
- Help prepare accurate financial statement reporting and offer practical insights on accounting and reporting issues.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA, or a similar business-related field.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in a professional services environment.
- Willingness to learn and continue developing professionally.
- Adaptability and flexibility in changing work situations.
- A strong client-focused attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to travel when required.
- Strong command of English.
