Attd - Gourmet Coffee Barista

Role overview

This full-time, non-management Food & Beverage and Culinary position is based in Salwa Road, Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on running the gourmet coffee bar area, preparing beverages and food items, handling guest orders, and keeping the workspace clean, organized, and fully stocked. The workplace is not remote.

Key duties

• Handle opening and closing routines, including arranging supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and work areas, and securing the premises.
• Keep service stations organized, replenished, and maintained throughout the shift.
• Enter guest orders into the cash register system, accept payments, and manage the order flow.
• Take orders through the MICROS system and prepare food and coffee items as required.
• Switch coffee machines and other appliances on and off at the correct times.
• Clear tables and coffee cart areas, and maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and surrounding areas during the day.
• Collect sufficient cash change for expected transaction levels.
• Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, hand over receipts, and secure the cash.
• Welcome guests according to company standards and communicate clearly and professionally, including answering telephone calls with proper etiquette.
• Carry out other reasonable job-related tasks assigned by supervisors.

Physical and work requirements

• Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing under 25 lbs (11.25 kg) without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire shift.
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually to identify defects.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of different sizes and weights with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, stooping, and crouching.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Climb up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Qualifications

A secondary school diploma or an equivalent GED credential is preferred. No prior related work experience is required, and no previous supervisory experience is needed. No license or certification is required for this role.
