Job description
About The Role
We are developing a comprehensive travel offering covering Flights, Hotels, and Experiences for a leading telecom operator in Europe, integrated within their main app as part of a new lifestyle ecosystem. This role involves complete ownership from inception through scaling, rather than incremental feature work.
You will manage the entire travel vertical end-to-end, overseeing supplier integrations, pricing models, user experience, conversion optimization, and loyalty program alignment.
This is a fully remote position targeting candidates residing in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of the Flights and Hotels category, establishing it as a core revenue stream.
- Manage the supplier ecosystem by integrating global distribution systems (GDS), aggregators, and direct supplier relationships.
- Lead commercial strategies including margin management, pricing, inventory, and monetization tactics.
- Shape the product experience across the user journey from discovery to booking and post-booking phases, enhancing conversion, trust, and repeat engagement.
- Implement deep loyalty program integration with telecom rewards, enabling earning, redemption, promotions, and gamification features.
- Plan and execute multi-market go-to-market strategies with focus on localization such as currency, language, and regulatory compliance across Europe.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, partnerships, and telecom stakeholders to deliver seamless product development and launches.
Challenges and Opportunities
- Building a travel product within a telecom platform, where user intent and conversion paths differ from traditional travel channels.
- Balancing the needs of aggregation and product differentiation across diverse European markets each with unique user behaviors and regulatory environments.
- Coordinating complex ecosystem dependencies involving partners, pricing strategies, and loyalty integration while maintaining a superior user experience.
Candidate Profile
- Extensive expertise in the travel domain, particularly with flights and hotels on OTA, meta, or supplier platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of GDS platforms such as Amadeus and Sabre along with aggregators and the economic factors influencing supply.
- Proven product leadership with experience in owning and scaling an entire category or business unit.
- Strong commercial acumen including ownership of revenue, margin, and unit economics.
- Experience in complex integrations including APIs, third-party dependencies, and multifaceted workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from strategy formulation through product requirements documentation to launch and iterative improvement.
Additional Valuable Qualifications
- Experience launching or managing products across multiple European countries.
- Familiarity with loyalty and rewards ecosystems.
- Background in localized products handling multiple markets, currencies, and compliance variations.
- Prior involvement with super app platforms, marketplaces, or embedded ecosystems.
Success Metrics
- Establishment of travel as a key engagement and revenue-driving feature within the telecom application.
- High conversion rates with strong repeat user engagement, beyond just increasing traffic volume.
- Effective loyalty program integration that boosts incremental transactions.
- Creation of a scalable product foundation that supports expansion across diverse European markets.
Why This Role Matters
- Opportunity for complete category ownership, not limited to partial funnel activities.
- Exposure to large-scale European markets.
- Chance to pioneer travel solutions within a non-traditional distribution channel (telecom), a space where many competitors falter.
