Job description

About Warner Music Group

Warner Music Group is a worldwide network of music creators, fans, technologists, and entrepreneurs working together to turn ideas into breakthrough success. The company is driven by three guiding principles: curiosity, collaboration, and commitment. Curiosity fuels creativity and innovation, collaboration helps great ideas scale across a global community, and commitment means delivering with integrity and excellence.

Technology is central to the business, whether that means supporting songwriters, providing accurate royalty data to partners, or helping creative teams use modern AI tools to uncover new talent. Product Managers play an important role in turning strategy into execution.

WMG values a workplace that respects and appreciates people from all backgrounds and encourages applications from candidates with varied experiences.

The company combines the reach of a major global music organization with the energy and creativity of a more agile, independent environment.

Role Overview

This Associate Product Manager position is part of the Marketing & Growth Automation team, which focuses on the technology that powers how WMG markets its extensive catalog. The team uses data, artificial intelligence, and automation to deliver scale and efficiency.

As an APM, you will help build features and products that expand catalog market share, create scalable tools for marketing teams, and improve engagement across platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and social media. The role is designed to develop the next generation of product leaders through training and mentorship.

This opportunity is intended for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who wants to build meaningful technology for the music industry.

What You Will Do

  • Learn the needs of labels and marketing operations teams, identify their challenges, and help shape solutions that improve day-to-day workflows.
  • Contribute to the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area, while building the ability to communicate that direction to different stakeholder groups.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver strong software products.
  • Help with go-to-market work, including product messaging, positioning, and launch planning.
  • Track product performance, user feedback, and market developments, then use those insights to guide decisions and product improvements.
  • Take ownership of impactful, complex initiatives and help deliver measurable business results.

Who This Role Is For

  • New graduates or professionals with up to 2 years of relevant experience who are excited about the overlap of technology and music.
  • Candidates with a computer science, engineering, or related technical background, or with equivalent hands-on experience.
  • People who enjoy exploring product problems deeply and working with others to develop thoughtful solutions.
  • Applicants who have some exposure to product building through an internship, academic project, or personal initiative.
  • Strong communicators and collaborators who can work effectively across teams.
  • Individuals who are curious, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to keep learning.

Compensation

The base salary for this role is CAD 85,500 to CAD 100,000 per year. The position is also eligible for a performance-based annual bonus.

This is an active and currently open vacancy.
