Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Associate to join our Healthcare Life Sciences financial advisory team in London. Associates are entrusted with substantial responsibilities, requiring analytical rigor, leadership qualities, and intellectual curiosity. Day-to-day tasks involve conducting financial analyses and modeling, managing junior team members, preparing presentations for clients, and maintaining communication with senior bankers and clients. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive quantitative financial analyses related to business operations, industry, and economic forecasts.
- Monitor emerging market dynamics and regulatory developments in investment and advisory fields to formulate strategies that capture investment opportunities and broaden the firm’s market presence.
- Develop financial models, company valuations, and comparative analyses for mergers and acquisitions based on detailed research and client-specific data.
- Analyze data concerning price trends, yield, stability, investment risks, and economic factors impacting investments.
- Support the preparation of offering memoranda, transaction documentation, and client presentation materials.
- Collect and interpret industry, regulatory, economic, and financial information to forecast future business prospects.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong analytical capabilities alongside excellent presentation skills.
- Fundamental understanding of accounting and financial principles with the ability to evaluate and value businesses effectively.
- Relevant prior experience in Investment Banking, specifically corporate finance or mergers and acquisitions is essential.
- Experience within the Life Sciences sector.
- Ability to work productively under pressure and tight deadlines with a results-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse internal teams and with clients.
- Proficient multitasking skills combined with expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and financial reporting.
