Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Associate to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team based in Singapore. This critical position involves cultivating and enhancing client relationships, contributing to advisory teams, and managing the full lifecycle of various financial transactions. The role will closely collaborate with senior bankers to serve financial institutions such as banks, insurance firms, asset managers, specialty finance companies, and fintech enterprises within Singapore and the broader Southeast Asia region. Strong foundational knowledge of corporate finance, advanced analytical skills, and an eagerness to understand the complexities of the financial services industry are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily execution of mergers & acquisitions, equity offerings, and debt transactions for financial institution clients, including overseeing due diligence, preparing marketing documents and valuations, and coordinating with third-party advisors.
- Assist in developing client pitches and creating presentations along with sector analysis to drive client engagement and business growth across diverse financial services sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent academic qualification.
- Hold 1 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory roles.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and analytical assessments, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous involvement in FIG-related transactions across Southeast Asia is advantageous.
- Deep understanding of financial institution balance sheets, regulatory capital needs, and valuation methods.
