Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Student Development Support & Engagement, the Associate Director of Student Life directs strategic initiatives and provides direct supervision for various student engagement activities within the Midlands Technical College (MTC) Office of Student Life. The role focuses on creating a dynamic, inclusive campus atmosphere that promotes student involvement, leadership development, and community service.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of student programs, overseeing student leaders and participants to ensure efficient planning, implementation, and assessment of services and events.
- Coordinate activities across MTC's multiple campuses, addressing the diverse needs of approximately 28,000 students, including 14,000 credit and 14,000 continuing education students.
- Develop and facilitate leadership programs and involvement opportunities that foster personal growth and engagement.
- Oversee management of student spaces and promote impactful community service experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Student Personnel Services, Higher Education Administration, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience in student services programs mandatory; two years’ professional background in college student activities, counseling, or similar fields highly preferred.

This position is based on the Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus in Columbia, SC.
