Role Summary

The Associate position within Apollo Capital Solutions focuses on debt capital markets (DCM) financing and process management, collaborating closely with investment teams and clients. This role requires strong analytical capabilities and 3 to 4 years of relevant capital markets experience, especially in leveraged finance. The Associate will oversee transaction pipelines and prepare underwriting documentation, interfacing directly with deal teams and financing counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end transaction pipelines, providing timely updates and reports to senior leadership and external parties.
• Prepare and review underwriting memos, credit briefings, and approval documents across diverse transactions.
• Lead screening and underwriting processes for leveraged finance and private credit deals, including LBOs, leveraged loans, high yield bonds, and asset-backed financing.
• Generate and maintain portfolio performance reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
• Conduct in-depth capital markets analysis and manage databases covering leveraged loans, high yield, LBOs, and private credit markets.
• Maintain and cultivate banking relationships, serving as a primary contact for select counterparties.
• Lead or assist in ad hoc strategic initiatives across Apollo Capital Solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in investment banking with a focus on capital markets, leveraged finance, or sponsor coverage.
• Preferred possession of FINRA licenses: Series 7, 63, and 79.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, credit fundamentals, and full deal lifecycle experience.
• Proven hands-on underwriting experience in leveraged transactions with familiarity across capital structures including asset-backed financing and securitizations.
• Ability to manage numerous transactions simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information for senior leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage across business units, seniority levels, and external parties.
• Self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset suited to fast-paced environments.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg terminals.

Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges from 150,000 to 250,000 USD annually. Compensation packages also include a discretionary annual bonus linked to individual, team, and firm performance. Final salary offers are influenced by job function, experience, and location.
