Position Overview
The Associate Athletic Director for Brand Strategy & Fan Experience at Texas State University oversees the development and execution of digital, marketing, and fan engagement strategies aimed at enhancing the brand presence and improving the game-day experience for the Texas State Department of Athletics. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Operations, this leadership role is focused on generating revenue growth, boosting attendance, and elevating fan interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage digital strategies and fan engagement initiatives to strengthen Texas State Athletics' branding, increase fan involvement, and support revenue generation.
- Supervise game presentation and the execution of entertainment operations during sporting events.
- Oversee the management of primary digital platforms including social media channels, email marketing services, and SMS communications.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns across campus and the broader community to foster greater participation and engagement.
- Collaborate as a member of the external unit leadership team and partner with various external departments to meet established organizational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in intercollegiate athletics, sports organizations, or equivalent high-level marketing and fan engagement roles.
- Proficiency in implementing fan engagement and promotional strategies.
- Experience with game presentation and entertainment logistics, particularly related to football events.
- Capability to manage digital and social media resources to reinforce brand loyalty.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to thrive within a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated capacity to supervise and guide staff.
