Overview
Join iCapital's Investor Relations team, part of the Operations and Investment Product Management division, as an Assistant Vice President to support a growing client base across Asia Pacific. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced investor relations specialist who thrives in dynamic, client-focused settings and manages interactions with investors, financial advisors, fund sponsors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional service to investors and advisors throughout onboarding, subscriptions, capital activity, and ongoing support phases.
- Navigate financial advisors and high-net-worth clients through subscription and AML/KYC processes ensuring documentation meets compliance standards.
- Establish and nurture reliable relationships with advisors, investors, fund sponsors, custodians, and internal departments by delivering proactive and solution-focused assistance.
- Communicate complex operational and investment-related information clearly through email, phone, and platform interactions.
- Identify and resolve obstacles in onboarding and client services promptly to enhance client experience.
- Act as the main contact with fund administrators to handle subscription, capital calls, redemptions, transfers, reporting, cash reconciliation, and investor record issues daily.
- Collaborate closely with teams such as Product, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and Client Solutions to guarantee seamless service and accurate client communications.
- Conduct training and demonstrations for clients and advisors on platform technologies and workflows.
- Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, RFPs, onboarding workshops, and prospective client presentations.
- Showcase platform capabilities during sales and onboarding processes to prospective clients and partners.
- Lead process improvement initiatives by leveraging AI tools, automation, and data analysis to boost productivity, reduce risks, and expand scalability.
- Identify opportunities to simplify operations, decrease manual labor, and improve service quality in investor servicing functions.
- Help document procedures, develop best practices, and promote a culture of operational excellence within the Investor Relations team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a similar field.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Investor Relations, Investor Services, Fund Operations, Client Services, Transfer Agency, or Alternative Investments.
- Preference given to candidates with fund administration experience, especially in Investor Services, Transfer Agency, or Investor Relations roles.
- Experience with private equity, private credit, hedge funds, real assets, or alternative investment products is highly valued.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken; knowledge of Cantonese and/or Thai is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders, financial advisors, and fund sponsors.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Comfortable working independently while effectively collaborating with global teams.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Keen interest in financial technology and digital transformation efforts.
- Experience leveraging AI technologies such as Microsoft Copilot and workflow automation tools to enhance productivity and client servicing.
- Adaptable mindset geared towards evolving business needs and continuous improvement.
Additional Information
The position involves working onsite in Singapore four days a week with flexibility to work remotely one day (Friday).
