A reputable developer and builder located in Washington, DC, specializing in high-end luxury residential single-family homes as well as multifamily apartments and condominiums within the district.

Role Overview

This position involves supporting a seasoned Project Manager in the successful execution of luxury residential construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will serve as a vital communication link between subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other involved parties to ensure smooth project workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with project delivery of luxury residential developments.
  • Liaise effectively with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
  • Organize and manage project documentation including purchase orders, change orders, and client communications.
  • Support subcontractor buyout procedures.
  • Take charge of ordering materials and tracking supplies for all ongoing projects.
  • Verify that subcontractors' insurance certificates are valid, current, and meet contract requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation related to safety and compliance regulations is complete and up to date.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to monitor project status.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of two years working experience within construction, holding roles such as Construction Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Carpenter, or Foreman.
  • Prior engagement in residential or multifamily apartment/condominium projects within the Washington DC area.
  • Willingness and ability to work five days per week, whether from the office or onsite in DC.
  • Possessing a formal degree is advantageous but not mandatory; practical work experience is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency with technology tools relevant to project management and construction.
  • Dedicated to long-term career development and growth.
