Role Overview
Join Kubik's dynamic fabrication team to help craft unique, custom metal projects that enhance trade shows, museums, and branded environments worldwide. We seek an intermediate-level Metal Shop Assistant / Machinist skilled in welding to contribute to our busy metal shop's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical schematics, measurements, and fabrication guidelines accurately.
- Perform precise measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, shaping, welding, and assembly of aluminum and other metal parts.
- Assist with test fitting, final assembly, quality assurance, packaging, and shipment preparations.
- Engage in fabrication quantity estimations, troubleshooting, and developing effective build strategies.
- Ensure tool and equipment maintenance and uphold a safe, tidy workspace.
Candidate Profile
- Intermediate level of expertise in metal fabrication, machining, or a related shop role.
- Strong welding capabilities, with TIG welding proficiency considered a notable advantage.
- Competent at working independently from detailed drawings and precise measurements.
- Comfortable operating standard metalworking tools and equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Detail-oriented with pride in quality workmanship and practical troubleshooting skills.
- Capable of lifting and managing materials in an active production environment.
- Certification in forklift and/or scissor lift operation is beneficial.

Work Details
- Working hours run from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with possible overtime opportunities.
- Open to full-time employment or freelance agreements.
- Typically working 44+ hours per week.
