About the Institution
Prince Sultan University, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is inviting applications for an academic appointment within the Communications and Networks Engineering Department, College of Engineering. The university is a private institution recognized by the NCAAA and is known for its focus on teaching, research, and community engagement.
Role Overview
This opportunity is for the 2026/2027 academic year beginning in August 2026. The department is considering applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in Electrical Engineering.
Teaching Expectations
The selected faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate-level courses aligned with their expertise and departmental needs. Possible subjects include Electrical Circuits, Electronics Engineering, Advanced Electronics, Power Electronics, Semiconductor Design, Logic Design, Senior Design Project, and other Electrical Engineering topics.
Research and Academic Profile
Applicants should present a strong scholarly background, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, along with the ability to build and sustain an active research program. Interest or experience in nanoelectronics, microelectronics, VLSI design, or semiconductor devices is particularly valuable, especially for supporting the development of a Nanoelectronics Center within the department.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a reputable and accredited university. Professional certification and relevant teaching or research experience will strengthen the application. Candidates associated with internationally recognized organizations will receive favorable consideration.
Additional Advantages
Extra value will be placed on hands-on experience with EDA tools such as Synopsys and Cadence for IC design, simulation, and verification. A background in analog or digital VLSI design, layout, or fabrication is beneficial, as is experience with advanced CMOS, RFIC, system-on-chip, or mixed-signal circuit design. Participation in funded research, industrial partnerships, or technology development projects will also be viewed positively.

Benefits and Terms
This is a one-year renewable contract, subject to renewal based on Dean/Director and student evaluation. The package is competitive and depends on academic qualification, rank, and teaching experience.
- Medical insurance for the employee and eligible dependents living in the Kingdom, including spouse and up to 4 children below 24 years of age.

- Round-trip annual leave tickets for up to 4 family members: employee, spouse, and 2 children below 18 years of age.
- Two months of paid annual summer vacation, plus 2 local paid holidays of around 15 days each, where applicable.
- Tuition support of up to SAR 30,000 for children studying in schools within the Kingdom, with final terms set in the contract.
- Free furnished accommodation with utilities and maintenance, subject to availability, or a housing allowance based on academic rank.
- End-of-service yearly gratuity starting from the second year of continuous service, provided the candidate has completed at least 2 years.
