Assistant Manager - Retail Business Development, Bangalore

Overview

This role involves supporting various key result areas (KRAs) focused on retail space budgeting, market expansion, and process adherence within the retail business development domain. The position is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop the budgeted retail space in alignment with brand demands.
• Create and convert line-of-sight properties in malls and high streets into store launches within budget during the financial year, while exploring new conversion opportunities.
• Maintain and update market mapping data continuously to identify and plan timely entries for expansion, leveraging cost and competitive advantages.
• Negotiate favorable agreements with landlords and mall developers to secure optimal locations, appropriate size, and cost-effective retail spaces.
• Conduct detailed market studies to forecast potential business opportunities in current and emerging markets.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends regularly.
• Map retail spaces according to current and projected requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial property owners to identify potential marketplace locations.
• Ensure robust networks with franchise partners, both existing and new, to drive partnered expansion.
• Understand and implement organizational processes and systems related to Retail Business Development.
• Establish and maintain systems and trackers for daily updates and conduct regular reviews with supervisors.
