Role overview
This position is responsible for leading marketing communications and digital marketing initiatives for Godrej Chemicals. The role is aimed at strengthening brand visibility, engaging target audiences, and supporting business growth through content-led communication, event execution, and digital campaign management.
Key responsibilities
- Own and coordinate marketing communication activities for the chemicals business, including product launches, promotional programs, customer engagement events, and related activities.
- Build, run, and improve digital campaigns across channels such as LinkedIn, Google Ads, and sector-specific platforms to increase visibility and generate leads.
- Manage social media calendars and content publishing to keep the brand presence steady and relevant.
- Update and refine the company website so that campaigns, product information, user experience, and SEO remain current and effective.
- Track incoming leads from marketing campaigns, ensure prompt follow-up and nurturing, and pass qualified leads to sales while analyzing conversion quality.
- Create and maintain marketing content for campaigns, sales enablement, pre-sales support, emailers, newsletters, datasheets, proposal templates, brochures, case studies, technical presentations, and success stories.
- Keep all communication aligned with brand standards and compliance needs while making technical information easier to understand.
- Carry out market research to evaluate current plans and improve product or campaign strategy.
- Develop communication plans that support overall business objectives and brand direction.
- Produce visual assets for print and digital use, including brochures, flyers, banners, infographics, and social media creatives.
- Work closely with sales teams and customers to stay updated on competition, market changes, and industry trends.
- Monitor KPIs such as website traffic, lead volume, conversion rates, and campaign ROI, and adjust plans based on results and market developments.
Tools and technical exposure
The role involves working with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, design applications such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and Canva, and digital marketing tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush, HubSpot, and Hootsuite.
Required capabilities
The ideal candidate should bring solid experience in digital marketing, marketing communications, content development, and graphic design, preferably within the B2B chemicals space. A strong grasp of SEO, excellent written and spoken communication, the ability to translate technical topics clearly, strong project management skills, collaborative working style, and an analytical approach to decision-making are important.
