Job description
About the Organisation
A leading university is growing quickly and is supported by the leadership of one of India’s largest business groups. It offers graduate, postgraduate, and executive programmes across several streams, and is guided by highly experienced professionals from both corporate and academic backgrounds in India and overseas. The campus community is diverse, and the institution is expanding fast across multiple locations with a work environment that is informal yet strongly focused on performance.
Role Overview
This role is for a marketing leader who will design, build, and deliver clear offline outreach initiatives that support student admissions across multiple campuses. The focus is on attracting both quality and volume of applicants, while increasing awareness of the university’s offerings among students, parents, and relevant institutions.
Key Responsibilities
You will shape and run admission-focused marketing plans, with a strong emphasis on physical and offline channels. The role also involves developing audience-specific messaging, coordinating campaigns throughout the year, tracking performance, and using results to refine future activity.
Marketing Execution and Outreach
Outreach will include road shows, career fairs, education fairs, events, social media, webinars, and similar engagement formats. You will strengthen visibility for the university’s programmes and ensure communication is tailored appropriately for each audience and platform.
Collaboration and Team Leadership
The position requires close coordination with the communications team and other internal stakeholders. You will also be expected to guide, structure, and develop team members, while building a marketing mindset across different stakeholders.
Data, Reporting, and Decision Support
You will monitor results from marketing programmes, produce insights, and share findings on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. A major part of the role is helping the marketing function make informed, data-led decisions through regular analysis and collaboration.
Travel
This position includes travel as part of the role.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a full-time postgraduate in Marketing or Communications with 9 to 11 years of experience in successful marketing roles, preferably in service-sector organisations at a growth stage. The role suits someone who values autonomy, wants to create measurable impact, and is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to social change through higher education.
Required Capabilities
You should bring strong functional exposure across positioning, brand development, product marketing, segmentation, digital activity, events, and activation, with clear outcome ownership. Experience working with multiple stakeholders is essential, along with a proactive attitude, strong commercial and ROI focus, leadership ability, collaboration, influencing skills, and a hands-on working style. High energy, excellent communication, result orientation, and a consistent commitment to producing outstanding work on time are important for success in this role.
