Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Manager or Manager specializing in Supply Planning to join our Supply Chain team within the Personal Care & Cosmetics sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing the complete planning process for new product launches, from initial concept through launch to continued market availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead supply planning activities for new product introductions, promotions, and formula reformulations across assorted categories such as Skincare, Makeup, and Haircare.
  • Work closely with the New Product Development (NPD) team to collect launch requirements, evaluate risks, and determine final launch volumes and schedules.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive master launch timetable, ensuring all supply chain milestones are achieved punctually and in full.
  • Coordinate and manage purchase orders for initial launch raw materials, components, and finished goods by collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing units.
  • Forecast initial demand for new launches and manage transition plans for ongoing replenishment.
  • Perform capacity assessments at both internal and external production locations to guarantee adequate preparation for new product volumes.
  • Set appropriate safety stock and inventory goals for NPD ingredients and finished goods, balancing service levels and minimizing excess obsolete stock.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate supply chain risks such as material delays and quality issues that could affect launch timelines.
  • Utilize ERP and planning systems like SAP to handle NPD planning data, including bills of materials, lead times, and inventory settings.
  • Drive and contribute to process improvements aimed at reducing lead times and enhancing forecast accuracy within NPD supply planning.
  • Develop and share key performance metrics and launch readiness reports with senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, or Production Planning, ideally within Personal Care, Cosmetics, or FMCG industries.

Skills Needed

  • Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency with ERP platforms such as SAP alongside advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product lifecycle management and supply planning processes.
