Job Overview

The Assistant Manager role in Integrated Plant Facility Management (IPFM) focuses on enhancing the logistics process by minimizing truck turnaround time during unloading, thereby improving operational efficiency. The position involves supervising coal quality control, conducting routine fire hazard inspections, implementing protective environmental measures, and managing proper handling, storage, and stacking of coal. Coordination of coal analysis for maintaining blending ratios is also a key responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient and reliable maintenance of Coal Handling Plants (CHP) and Crusher House.
  • Safely conduct continuous maintenance activities and ensure availability of consumables, spares, and raw materials on time.
  • Maintain compliance with established quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Uphold excellent housekeeping practices to create a safe work environment.
  • Oversee manpower deployment, deliver performance improvement through mentoring, training, and motivation.
  • Manage records related to maintenance and operations.
  • Develop and implement seasonal plans and best maintenance practices.
  • Identify defects and follow up on work orders promptly.
  • Handle emergency situations at the Coal Handling Plant effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth plant operation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BE) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Experience requirements vary by qualification: 6-8 years for graduates, 8-10 years for diploma holders, 4-6 years for postgraduates.
