Role Overview
This position is responsible for supporting line managers with HR and administrative tasks so they can focus on business goals. The role also provides direct assistance to the Finance/HR Manager in daily HR operations and administrative activities to ensure the department runs efficiently.
Core Responsibilities
The role covers payroll-related administration, personnel record management, HR process support, and general office coordination within the HR function.
Salary Administration and Personnel Records
- Enter recurring and one-time staff payments into the payroll system so payroll can be completed on schedule.
- Maintain employee records carefully and keep them updated for fast retrieval and accurate decision-making.
Recordkeeping, Transfers, and Terminations
- Manage documents connected to leave, loans, and advances.
- Keep personal files and other HR records securely stored.
- Prepare transfer and termination letters in line with company policies and labour regulations to avoid delays or compliance issues.
Passport Security and Custody
- Safeguard employee passports and coordinate their release whenever required.
HR Activities
- Support the implementation of HR policies across manpower planning, recruitment, hiring, and employee development.
- Identify training requirements at different levels across the business unit.
- Arrange internal and external training programmes based on training needs analysis to improve employee capability and productivity.
- Assist with the design, administration, and monitoring of performance management, including regular appraisals and review cycles for all employees.
- Prepare and maintain periodic HR MIS reports.
Other Duties
- Handle routine HR and administrative matters such as employee loans, advances, and letters or certificates.
- Act on behalf of the HR Manager during absences when needed.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned to support efficient HR and administration operations.
Requirements
- A postgraduate or master’s qualification in Human Resources or Personnel Management.
- 4 to 6 years of experience working as an HR Generalist.
- Working knowledge of IT tools, HR concepts and practices, and labour legislation.
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.

This position is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and is a full-time, on-site role.
