Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our expanding Financial Services Tax department. This role provides an excellent chance to work closely with a range of both domestic and international clients, delivering expert tax compliance and advisory services within the financial services sector.
Primary Duties
- Oversee the completion of tax compliance and advisory assignments for financial services clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Offer technical guidance on Irish and global tax issues, review tax returns and related computations, while maintaining compliance with internal quality and risk standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by attending client meetings, addressing inquiries, and providing exemplary service.
- Assist senior staff including Managers and Partners with client projects, identify opportunities for added services, and contribute to business growth efforts.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members, share expertise, and foster a cooperative, high-achieving team environment.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant credentials such as ACA, ACCA, or CTA with two to three years of post-qualification experience in financial services tax.
- In-depth knowledge of Irish tax laws with interest in international taxation; experience in Asset Management or Insurance is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage client relationships effectively while working collaboratively across teams.
- Strong organizational abilities and project management skills with capability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- A proactive, commercially aware mindset with commitment to continuous professional growth and a career path in professional practice.
