About the Role
This position is for an Associate Manager in Finance Deal Pricing within the IT services sector, supporting Managed Services and Consulting deals on a global scale. The role involves providing financial and commercial expertise to structure, price, and evaluate complex deals ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analytical assessments of client budgets to identify missing data and prepare action plans addressing issues ahead of deal approval.
- Collaborate with deal teams to utilize costing information and commercial parameters to accurately calculate pricing and margins using internal tools.
- Support deal teams by evaluating risks, suggesting mitigations, and identifying opportunities for clients and stakeholders through financial analysis.
- Apply US GAAP policies to understand financial risks and opportunities related to deal structures within various regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate with tax and legal departments to ensure tax efficiency and compliance in contexts such as resource transfers, asset transactions, leasing, reselling, and subcontracting.
- Present financial insights to Sales and Finance leads and other stakeholders to support client negotiations and strategic decision-making.
- Identify and escalate deals with suboptimal financial metrics, collaborating with teams to enhance financial conditions prior to progression.
- Contribute continuously to Deal Structuring knowledge by engaging in thought leadership and learning initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum overall experience of 7 to 8 years, including at least 4 years focusing on deal pricing within the IT services industry.
- Educational credentials include CA, CWA, MBA (Finance), CMA, or CIMA.
- Strong skills in deal pricing specific to IT services are essential.
- Familiarity with services pricing, capital budgeting/financial planning and analysis, and US GAAP are preferred.
- Excellent communication and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
Technical and Professional Expertise
- Understanding of corporate finance tools and strategies, including financing alternatives such as equity and debt.
- Knowledge of capital and debt markets, entity valuation, shareholder value metrics, EVA diagnostics, investment appraisals, cost baselining, and due diligence.
- Experience with accounting practices for business combinations, acquisitions, asset purchases or leases, revenue recognition, and principal versus agent considerations.
- Proven ability to conduct deal pricing reviews and prepare clear business case presentations with defined objectives and plans.
- Strong analytical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications beyond Excel, including Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
