About the role
We are looking for a commercially minded, proactive, and relationship-focused Assistant Director to lead partner engagement and ecosystem development for IP Grow. This position is central to expanding growth opportunities, deepening industry partnerships, and supporting regional as well as international engagement priorities.
You will be responsible for building and sustaining strong relationships with enterprises, service providers, industry bodies, and ecosystem stakeholders in Singapore and overseas. The role calls for someone who can turn partnerships into measurable business value and long-term impact.
What you'll do
- Create and carry out partnership plans for IP Grow in line with organisational goals.
- Source, engage, and oversee strategic partners across industries, professional services, and the wider ecosystem.
- Design, negotiate, and roll out collaboration approaches that create shared value and measurable results.
- Spot opportunities for overseas demand generation, cross-border partnerships, and entry into new markets.
- Represent the organisation in industry events, business missions, and senior-level external meetings.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of partnership and collaboration opportunities.
- Encourage partner participation in IP Grow and other major organisational programmes.
- Track partner engagement, performance, and outcomes against key performance indicators.
- Collect market feedback and stakeholder input to improve value propositions and strengthen programme design.
- Work closely with internal teams to align goals, deliverables, and execution plans.
- Handle partner communications to ensure continuity, trust, and satisfaction.
- Support new business development and contribute to wider platform-building initiatives.
What we're looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Law, International Relations, or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or client engagement, preferably within legal, IP, consulting, or professional services environments.
- Exposure to public-private partnerships or Trade Associations and Chambers will be an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with solid negotiation and relationship-building ability.
- A strategic mindset paired with a practical, hands-on approach to delivery.
- Comfort working across teams and earning trust from both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Background in regional or international engagement is preferred.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
