Key Responsibilities
- Support the Director and IT team to maintain efficient operation, availability, and security of user devices, servers, printers, UPS units, network and telephony infrastructure.
- Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot operating system and application patching, as well as anti-virus updates for all user endpoints and servers.
- Lead support for connectivity of data and telephony devices to enterprise LAN and WAN, including IP phones, printers, cameras, wireless access points, and servers.
- Keep an accurate and updated inventory of all hardware, software, and licenses.
- Develop and maintain training programs to enhance user system knowledge and computer proficiency.
- Perform local system backups, transfer critical data to backup servers, maintain current server images, and conduct restoration tests to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Provide expert knowledge on hotel business technologies such as POS, High-Speed Internet, FTG/VOD, Telephony, and PMS interfaces to maximize uptime.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper upkeep of equipment, MDF, IDF, and work areas.
- Collaborate with vendors and IT teams to diagnose and resolve system incidents and problems.
- Build and sustain relationships with technology vendors, third-party partners, and service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs.
- Communicate effectively across all peers in both application and technical domains.
- Assist the Director of IT with oversight of incident, change, and control management processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and legal requirements regarding hardware and software installation, usage, and licensing.
- Respond promptly to administrative requests and responsibilities.
- Adopt a proactive work approach and demonstrate flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and be available 24/7 for critical system failures impacting hotel revenue or guest service.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient knowledge of server infrastructure hardware and software.
- Well-versed in user endpoints including desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Understanding of networking systems such as switches, routers, and access points.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and services including Directory Services, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) and associated interfaces.
- Knowledge of retail and food & beverage POS systems.
- Strong problem-solving and resolution capabilities.
- Experience with virtualization and hyper-converged technologies.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant technical and business certifications.
- At least 5 years of experience in a rapid-paced, large hospitality environment.
