Role overview
This position focuses on shaping and delivering tourism strategy for the resort. The role combines planning, execution, stakeholder management, research, and cross-functional coordination to ensure initiatives move forward on time and produce measurable outcomes.
Planning and execution
- Help develop and implement strategic tourism initiatives, with strong emphasis on delivery, accountability, and timely execution.
- Convert strategic direction into practical plans, clear milestones, and assigned ownership so progress can be monitored and issues identified early.
- Own and maintain business scorecards that generate useful, timely insights for strategic decision-making.
- Work effectively in a fast-moving setting while maintaining both speed and quality in delivery.
Integration and stakeholder collaboration
- Serve as a connector across internal teams, leadership, and external partners to align efforts and achieve shared outcomes.
- Work with internal business units to align priorities, coordinate inputs, manage dependencies, and push execution across strategic programs.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with outside stakeholders such as statutory boards, ministries, corporate partners, advisors, and consultants.
- Lead regular alignment discussions and government-facing meetings to support decision-making, ownership, and execution progress.
Research and strategic support
- Conduct market and strategic research to remain current on tourism trends, policy changes, and industry developments.
- Work with stakeholders to turn insights into practical recommendations that support tourism objectives.
- Support the design and coordination of tourism initiatives that promote growth and create measurable resort-wide impact.
Requirements
The role calls for a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates should understand government policies and strategies connected to tourism development and economic growth.
Applicants must be comfortable working across complex, cross-functional environments and should bring commercial acumen, strong analytical ability, and the skill to influence others and create alignment without direct authority. Strong strategic planning, prioritization, communication, business judgment, and an outcome-focused mindset are essential. The person should also be collaborative and able to build shared ownership among diverse stakeholders.
