We are currently searching for a full-time Assistant Centre Director for our 83-place facility located in Erskineville, NSW. Role Overview
In the position of Assistant Centre Director, you will collaborate closely with the Centre Director overseeing daily centre operations while upholding exceptional standards in education and care. This leadership role involves hands-on mentoring and support of educators, cultivating positive connections with children and families, and fostering a collaborative team culture. Additionally, you will take the lead in the Centre Director's absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Centre Director with routine operational management of the centre
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to educators to maintain high-quality education and care delivery
- Promote an inclusive, cooperative, and positive team environment
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, parents, and the community
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and pertinent regulations
- Support administrative duties including staffing and rostering
- Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and continuous development initiatives
- Lead the centre confidently when the Centre Director is unavailable

Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, approved by ACECQA
- Demonstrated leadership experience in early childhood education settings
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Up-to-date certifications in First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis management
- Current training or certification in Child Protection
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), NQF, and NQS
- Strong organisational, leadership, and communication abilities
- Passionate about mentoring educators and committed to high-quality education and care
